Questions about delay in menstruation
Menstruation occurs in a cycle of 28 days, usually. Some women who do not administer any type of contraceptive method can have variations between 25 and 30 days. This process is actually a removal of flaking of the uterus, the mucous membrane is responsible for the accommodation of the embryo, this occurs for cell renewal.
Some women take a big scare when at the time expected this process does not occur. How long is normal for a period late? The first thought that comes to mind for most women is: I’m pregnant. But that’s not the answer to everything, because our body is very complex and sometimes if something does not go well, the others don’t work. This may explain why some times the menstrual cycle is not perfect.
Menstruation can typically late in a week, this could be considered totally normal, but it’s always good to be vigilant if it never occurred to you. Many reasons, besides a possible pregnancy, may cause your menstruation does not occur, including hormonal imbalance, excess weight, emotional problems, bladder infections, ovarian problems, administration of any medication, excessive consumption of alcohol, drugs, coffee, cigarettes, food deficiency, anemia and even the abusive practice of physical exercise with pregnancy clothes.
Seeing as there are several reasons for that your period late, so before you jump to conclusions, don’t think twice and go to the gynecologist and have a long talk, if necessary exams and see if you don’t have a problem requiring treatment.
